Sure, it is very simple and doesn’t need much effort. Try listening to Water sounds, relaxing piano or Holosync tracks (look for Water Relaxation). Classical music is also good. Hearing them with a headset or earphones is recommended for best results. And if you can, try hearing them in a green, healthy environment.
Good luck

You can also meditate by looking at pleasing pictures like beautiful colorful flowers or a sunset on the beach. Just concentrate on the picture and take in all of the positive energy you will feel by simply looking at a pleasing sight.

Yes- but before you learn to “sit in the silence”, you should learn to breathe. Deep breathing is integral to meditation and quieting the mind. It is also essential to calming ones self down to focus. It is a way to relax the body for being in a state of “no mind”. Just try it.Can’t hurt you.LOL

Let me suggest that you turn your cellular phone off and do not make yourself available to any interruptions while meditating. You will need to set aside at least 15-minutes each day - this pattern will change depending on your schedule, but try to keep the same time (might try at night before going to bed). Now, learning how to breath correctly is the key: Now, place one of your hands on your stomach and the other on your chest. With your mouth closed, inhale through your nose only. Your chest should not move… only the movement from your stomach. Now hold the air and count silently to 3. Now, exhale the air through your mouth… slowly. Repeat this exercise about four to five (4-5) times. Now that you know how you should be breathing, you are now ready to hear quiet, sounds of music, water, streams, anything that will put your mind at ease. You must remember to continue to breath as instructed above for the duration of your 15-minute meditation for it to work. Hopefully, if you follow all the instructions listed above, you will be able to relax and apply your energy to various tasks… after meditation is over.

All Good advice. Bear in mind though, that Meditation is not just a sitting session. Meditation is to intend, or to contemplate. In other words, Meditation is attention. Attention is just awareness in what you’re doing at the moment. When you’re eating, pay attention to eating. The tastes, the feel of the food in your mouth, the swallow, the feeling of the food in your stomach, Everything you do, everything you feel, everything you think, should be carefully noted and be found in full awareness. This is called mindfulness also known as heedfulness, and it’s harder than you might think at the beginning, eventually, One is capable of paying attention to things for long periods of times, with increased focus and much lessened restlessness than the average human being. There is always something to be mindful of, but there are three main things. 1 is breath. 2 is the feeling in your body as a whole, from head to toe. And lastly, your thought and feeling of the moment should be noted. Try to hold this in your concentration indefinitely for it is the path to enlightenment when mixed with virtue. By being aware of the moment, it will almost seem as though your wisdom will increase, due to the fact that through constant observation of the moment, you’ll assume a third person perspective from most all actions. Actions wont happen to you, they’ll happen around you and you’ll notice them, this makes for less reaction and more realization of the moment, thusforth making you more capable to make a more fitting response to whatever situation is at hand. The next thing I tend to notice is that, I’m more here in the moment than other people, and have the ability to concentrate on things more indepthly than nonattentative human. This mainly goes for actions but also applies to thoughts. The constant awareness makes you sharp and alert, your reflexes increase due to you having the concentration in your mind to be able to pick up and hone in on things going on around you easier than others who have not trained this sense. Eventually, what I sometimes find in my meditative practice is that in the 3rd person view and detachment from emotional expectation of the moment, i’m more keen to pick up on what is actually going on around me, therefore there is to what is to almost be known as an intuitive sense that is acquired with this type of meditative practice. Perphaps your brain is just more likely to realize common behaviour and recognizes it before it happens, perphaps your brain has a power of a natural inner clairvoyance when it is stilled and paying enough attention. Regardless of the cause I find that this sense does come to pass from time to time, I cannot describe it to you, more or less than that it is a feeling of knowing what is going to happen before it happens, when it happens, and after it happens, usually for me this has been one moment or instant in time, perphaps feeling someone is going to say something, or that i was going to hear a specific sound, and then having that come to pass, I’m virtually positive this happens to all who endeavour in such practices so I’m fairly confident in allowing you find this as a result. Meditation is attention. Pay As Full of Attetion to the moment as you can, however, whenever, and as often as you can. Due this, and with time and diligence, your progress will increase, and your mental strength will grow.
