I’m wondering what small things you do during the day or night to relieve stress.

I listen to music, stretch, and take deep breaths.

Stretching, deep breathing (in thru the nose, out slowly thru the mouth), hot shower (or cold shower depending on the stress) or a quickie.

Play music. Listen to music. I have some relatively angry hobbies too. Do something that makes you happy.

I have a glass of white wine (one is enough), put on wild music, close my eyes to connect with the rhythms then let my body start to move - just letting it move the way it wants. I put fast, vigorous music on like Sting’s “Desert Rose”. In between songs, I stretch and beathe deeply, squat to the floor for a thigh stretch, then get ready for the next rhythm.
I feel wonderfully liberated and relaxed after. I sleep better and wake up with a pleasant attitude.
